BUSINESS BIOGRAPHY
I graduated with Master degree in Engineering from the largest Russian technical Institution Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 2008 where I firstly got Bachelors degree in 2005. My GPA is 4.5 out of 5
Couple of words about my career:
I started my path at the world’s largest manufacturer Royal Philips Electronics in 2004 as IT specialist. During my employment I was promoted several times and at the very end hold position of Cluster Internet Manager. I was managing team of 5 professionals with whom we were conducting B2B and B2C on-line projects for RUC (Russia Ukraine Belorussia and Central Asia) countries and three business divisions. I genuinely believe that it’s my personal credit that Philips Online KPIs in some cases grew by 130% year to year. Also, it’s worth mentioning that Russian’s Philips Online audience loyalty was in top 3 of all other Philips sites.
But after almost 6 years of hard work, time to make next career step has come. I used to work in unstable environment; so, after post crisis deviations more or less stabilized for Philips in Russia, I realized that not satisfied with peaceful backwater that I was in and started to look for a challenging environment, where I could reveal my true potential and evolve as professional. In addition to that, there were some internal political changes that strengthened me in my idea to move forward.
All my previous experience was in online marketing; so, I thought that I would need to change a bit an angle and try myself in sales role. It is naturally that I’ve joined the Kaspersky’ EEMEA team as online sales business development manager because of my previous technical background and good regional management experience.
Although, it’s only 5 month passed, I’ve already managed to develop regional online sales strategy and solve complex internal political revenue recognition problem.
As for my free time, I’m very passionate about cooking. Two years ago I published an article in Russian culinary magazine “Argumenty i fakty” about how to cook meat. Also, I do treat my colleagues – for “women’s day” I prepared a “Pink” cake and on one of recent Fridays I made chicken wings in honey sauce.
But cooking is not only my one passion. I enjoy people, and their emotions, that’s why I like to make photo-portraits of my friends, relatives and people I meet, which I publish in my blog supporting them with small fairy tales, I write..
I’m also a big fan of sports – I’m a former member of University’ swimming team and rescue team of Continental pools, USA. But my recent love is rock climbing – I started couple of month ago and found it very exciting. For me it’s even more a challenging because I am afraid of height.
Also, I’m enthusiastic in charity activities - I do support WWF and Greenpeace, but I cannot say that I’m such an active member especially of Greenpeace, taking into account their methods. What really matters for me are children. I always participate in collecting of cloth and toys for orphans. Under Philips name I’ve participated in couple of events for children with cancer as of my free will. Now I’m an active member of the “Kinovitamin” group that organizes different activities for orphans. But anything I do is not enough. And I really hope that one day I will be able to make difference by bringing some really good help for those who in need.
Finally, I would like to support my words with references which were given to me by my colleagues. Please find them at the very bottom of my Linked in Profile.
Thank you for considering my application!
With warm regards,
Pavel Korolev
